Band-facade
Supporting facade system with traditional back plate in sandwich element, whilst the front plate is broken for the full length of the window band. Blind panels are often placed in the window band at the end of the back plate.
Window band width and height can vary.
Sandwich elements have a U-value < 0.40W/kvmC, but can be insulated as required.
Building stability can be achieved by slice effect in ceiling and storey partitions, combined with facades, gables and internal wall stabilising effect.
